Not so far apart

We were watching the Kitt Kittredge movie last night set in the 1930's depression era and although i loved all the clothing (the details on the dresses with rickrack and trim were great)i was reminded of the story in the newspaper this morning of a family who had 30 minutes to move out of their foreclosed house. This story is probably happening over and over all over the US. I don't know where they were going but i hope they had some family to take them in. If not where will all these displaced people go? In the movie there were hobo camps, is this where we are headed? These were also good honest people who just were out of work or home but they all helped each other. I know it's hollywood but i still hope we can all remember that we could be the one without the home. Through these hard times we need to work together to get through.
